Bush Gardens

To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow

We have been supporting an indigenous ‘bush garden’ project since May 2024. Using organic gardening techniques, the villagers bring back plants they usually forage to garden areas near the village. This creates a regular source of indigenous food crops, including leafy vegetables, tubers, berries, beans, etc. to provide resilience and keep traditional foods in their diet.

Cost

The current cost is £100 per month per village plus an annual £500 expenditure on native saplings of fruit and nut trees.

We welcome your donations to fund this project.
